Sometimes we who struggle to write words that make sense need a smile to remind us why we chose this career.
Not long ago I drove to a school about an hour from my home to take part in their Writers-in-the-School program. It was soon apparent that the teachers had prepared the children to expect a visit from an author that day for the classroom was decorated with a display of illustrations the children had drawn for one of my stories. While I waited for the teacher to introduce me to the class, one little boy looked up at me and whispered, "Are you a real, live, offer?"

The days I get out of the office to make school visits, do workshops, or speak to people are my 'treat' days. This is the aspect of writing and being an 'offer' that I enjoy most.

Persistence and Perseverance: The Road to Publication outlines some of the steps to take, and the pitfalls to avoid, in order to create a manuscript suitable for publication. This workshop is suitable for beginner to intermediate authors.

Marketing – The book launch  or signing.)This workshop is based on the planning and presentation that helps move books to the publisher’s best seller list.
